3.3 Load Profile Storage
The load profile storage mode supports storage of a group of metrics based on discrete time
intervals. Multiple load profile time intervals enable recording of load profile data for some
metrics at a different rate than others. The SGM300 Series meters supports recording of a
minimum of 4 channels and maximum of 20 channels of load profile recording.
The meter supports storage of observables at different intervals simultaneously (for example,
some data at 15 minute intervals and other data at 10 minute intervals). The observables and
the storage interval for each channel will be defined independently of any other channel. The
number of days of storage for each storage interval can be selected.
The meter supports calculation of whether the load profile settings can be delivered with the
available load profile memory. The meter will detect the size of the memory available for load
profile recording and calculate the maximum number of data blocks available.
The observables and the storage interval for each channel will be defined independently of any
other channel. The meter will maintain a configuration flag when load profile recording is
configured and enabled.
The SGM3000 Series meters support the following observables:
•
Load profile storage where the defined observables are stored at discrete predefined time
intervals
•
Simultaneous storage of load profile data at multiple time intervals
•
4 simultaneous time intervals
The SGM3000 Series meters support the following multiple load profile time intervals:
•
60 minute intervals
•
30 minute intervals
•
20 minute intervals
•
15 minute intervals
•
10 minute intervals
•
5 minute intervals
A backup power source, either a battery or a super capacitor, must be installed to maintain
time when there is a power outage.
Memory Requirements
The SGM3000 Series meters can store of minimum of 4 channels of load profile energy data, at
an interval of thirty 30 minutes, for a period of 35 days.
The meter memory can store a minimum of 6 channels of load profile energy data, at an
interval of thirty 30 minutes, for a period of 180 days.
