AVR Active Control Diagrams
The Tunning window shows the control logic diagram that corresponds with the App
that has been configured in the AVR controller. The control logic diagram provides
real-time information that can be used to monitor, evaluate, and troubleshoot the
performance of the AVR control system. The parameters that can be configured are
displayed in white boxes and the parameters that are not configurable are displayed
in gray boxes. Parameters in orange can be double clicked for the option to
manually override them for tuning purposes. The factory default tuning parameters
are well-suited for the majority of AVR applications, however changes can be made
to optimize the performance as required.
App 1: Supply with Reheat Control, No Discharge Temperature Sensor
This App provides room temperature and airflow control for a room with a supply
valve and a reheat system that does not include a duct temperature sensor. The
AVR6 AccuValve controls the supply airflow volume and discharge temperature
required to maintain the active control setpoints. The room temperature
measurement is provided by the Accutrol ARS1 room temperature sensor which is
mounted on a wall inside of the controlled space.
Control Sequence
Heating
: Supply airflow volume is controlled to maintain the active minimum supply
airflow setpoint. If space temperature drops below the room temperature heating
setpoint, the controller shall modulate open the supply air duct reheat control valve
to obtain temperature setpoint.
Cooling
: If space temperature rises above the room temperature cooling setpoint,
the controller shall modulate open the supply airflow valve as required to achieve
the room temperature cooling setpoint. The heating control loop is set to zero so no
reheat is introduced during cooling.
Deadband
: When the room temperature is between the heating and cooling
setpoints, the room temp heating and cooling control loops are set to zero and the
supply airflow volume is controlled to maintain the active minimum supply airflow
setpoint.
