12. POWER MANAGEMENT
12.1 Overview
MC96FR364B supports two kinds of power saving modes, SLEEP and STOP. In these modes, the
program execution is stopped. There’s also BOD mode caused by voltage drop, which is almost the
same as STOP mode.

12.3 SLEEP mode
To enter SLEEP mode, write 01
H
to Power Control Register(PCON, 87
H
). In this mode, only the CPU
halts and other peripherals including main oscillator operate normally. SLEEP mode can be released
by a reset or interrupt. When SLEEP mode is released by a reset, all internal logics is initialized.
The following example shows the way to enter SLEEP mode.
