11.3. Call Waiting
ISDN Call Waiting allows you to place a call on hold while you answer another incoming
call on the same telephone (directory) number.
By default call waiting is enabled on both telephone ports, but can be disable on ether port
from Menu 2.1.
11.3.1.
How to use call waiting
The Call Waiting feature on your ISDN line works in exactly the same way it does on a
regular analog line (which almost everyone is familiar with). After hearing a call waiting
indicator tone, press and immediately release the flash hook button on your telephone. This
puts your current call on hold and answers the incoming call.
Dropping current call to switch to incoming/holding call.
After hearing a Call Waiting indicator tone simply hang-up the telephone and wait for the
telephone to ring before answering the incoming/holding call.
Notes:
A)
An incoming caller receives a busy signal if:
a)
You have two calls (one active and one on hold; or both active using Three Way
Calling) on the B-Channel the incoming caller is attempting to reach.
b)
You are dialing a number on the B-Channel the incoming caller is attempting to
reach, but have not yet established a connection.
