Some implementations, especially the UNIX derivatives, require the WAN link to have a
separate network number from the LAN and that the addresses must have the same network
number. If this is the case, enter the IP address assigned to the WAN port of the Prestige.
Please note that this is the address assigned to the local Prestige, not the remote router.

RIP determines how the Prestige handles RIP (Routing Information Protocol) and the

Both . If set to Both , the Prestige broadcasts its routing table on the WAN and
incorporate RIP broadcasts by the other router into its routing table. If set to

information automatically. Version determines what flavor of RIP the Prestige sends and
accepts. Choices are:
a) RIP-1 The router accepts and send RIP version 1 messages only.
b) RIP-2B The router accepts RIP-1 and RIP-2 messages (both broadcast and multicast)
and sends RIP-2 messages using broadcast.
c) RIP-2M The router accepts RIP-1 and RIP-2 messages (both broadcast and multicast)
and sends RIP-2 messages using multicast.
