Power Pack Swapping
The motorcycles feature a quick change power pack.
This allows the rider to charge one power pack while
using another. To change the power pack, perform the
following:
Removal
1. Remove the key from the key switch and safely
support the motorcycle.
2. Locate the thumb screw (A) (X/MX - Dirt) or M8
security bolt (B) (X/MX/XU - Street Legal). The
security bolt requires the supplied tool to remove
and install. The security bolt can be replaced with
the thumb screw available from Zero Motorcycles
Accessories.
3. Pull the power pack rail (C) away from the
motorcycle, unhooking it at the front.
4. Disconnect the power pack connector (D)
(XU only). See image on page 4-9.
5.
Using the ejection lever (E) remove the power
pack connector. See image on page 4-9.
Note:
The power pack weighs 20.9 kg (46 pounds).
6.
Using a firm grip, slide the power pack out of the
frame.
