Safety inspections
WARNING - RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK
If no legal requirements exist in your country, the device must undergo an
electrical safety test in accordance with IEC 62353:2007 after maximum
24 months of use. This test must be performed and documented by
specialists with the required know-how.
To perform a safety check of the device, proceed as follows:
•
Check the protective earth conductor resistance. For this purpose,
connect the device to the measuring device using the power cable. To
perform the measurement, press the measuring tip against the metallic
holding plate (Fig. 67) of the plugs on the bottom of the device. The
measured value may not exceed 0.3
Ω
.

•
After successful measurement, the device leakage current must be
measured. This is preferably done using the differential current method
while the device is in its operating state. Press the measuring tip once
more against the metallic holding plate (Fig. 67) of the plugs. The
measured value may not exceed 0.5 mA.
•
Finally, measure the insulation resistance using a test voltage of 500 V.
The measured value may not fall below 2 M
Ω
.
•
Note down the measured values.
