Update device software
To update the device software, proceed as follows:
•
Save the archive file that you received from ZEISS Service on a PC with a
USB port.
•
Insert the USB drive ( 9 , Fig. 1) into the USB port of your PC and unpack
the archive file on the drive.
•
Now insert the USB drive into the USB port ( 5 , Fig. 5) of your device.
After a few seconds a window opens with information on the update
process.
•
Wait until the process is completed and the window closes again.
•
After the successful update, remove the USB drive from the USB port of
the device. If required, disable the USB interface (see device settings
Interface submenu , page 95).
•
Reset the device to its default values. Configure the device according to
your preferences.

During the update it is possible that the device restarts again. Do not
switch off the device during the entire process.
Alternatively, you can simply unpack the archive file in the input
folder of your network drive (see input path parameter, page 99).
