Network configuration
WARNING - GENERAL HAZARD
Connecting ZEISS VISUREF 150 to an IT network may result in hazards for
the patient, operator or a third person or may impair functioning of the
device or other participants in the network due to coupling. These hazards
or impairments are not within area of responsibility of ZEISS. The operator
is responsible for appropriate risk assessment, implementation of
measures to control risks and monitoring of the effectiveness of these
measures. This analysis should be performed each time the network or
essential characteristics are modified.
In particular, a modification means the following (but not exclusive):
•
Modifications in the logical or physical network configuration
•
New integration or removal of other network participants or network
accessories
•
Updates or upgrades of network participants
CAUTION - PROPERTY DAMAGE
When connecting to an external IT network the operator is responsible for
compliance with the legal requirements for data security. The IT network
must be protected by anti-virus programs and a firewall from public
networks (Internet).
Suitable measures must be taken to ensure that only authorized users gain
access to the IT network.
To benefit from the full functionality of the device, it must be integrated into
the responsible organisation's network. The following features are available
only after the network connection has been made:
•
Use of higher-level data storage and organization systems (ZEISS
FORUM, ZEISS VISUCONSULT/i.Com mobile or other EMR/PMS systems)
•
Data storage on network folders
•
Printing to network printers
