Setting the illumination parameters
•
In order to achieve an optimum image of the pupil diameter, you can
also set the illumination parameters in
Image
mode. To do this, tap on
the
Illumination
symbol button (

Capturing images
Make sure that the patient is correctly positioned and explain the
measurement to him/her (see Section
Positioning the patient and explaining
•
Now take an image of the eye. Focus and center the displayed live image
of the eye using the joystick.
•
Press the measuring button of the joystick (6, Fig. 3) to capture an
image.
As soon as the device has captured an image, the moving live image
(

, Fig. 45) will be replaced by the still captured image of the eye. The Zoom
(

, Fig. 46) and Confirmation (

, Fig. 46) functions will be enabled and the
illumination parameter setting (
