This setting enables the auto-teaching procedure for the sin/cos sensor (internal
steering feedback).
Set it to ON, switch off the controller and then switch it on again with the steered
wheel off the ground. Wait until the auto-teaching procedure ends (when the wheel
stops). Switch the controller off and on again.

SPECIAL ADJUSTMENTS list
To enter this Zapi hidden menu, a special procedure is required. Ask this procedure
directly to a Zapi technician.

Parameters in the SPECIAL ADJUSTMENTS list are safety relevant and only
well trained technicians are admitted to change the default settings
1) SET
TEMPERATURE
Factory adjusted.
2) HIGH
ADDRESS
Zapi reserved.
3) DEBUG
OUTPUT
LEVEL 0 through 15. Mandatory default value is LEVEL 15
This adjustment defines the configuration or inhibits some diagnosis to aid the
troubleshooting. Set DEBUG OUTPUT = LEVEL 15 after the troubleshooting.

LEVEL 0 – 10: Zapi reserved.

LEVEL 11:
Disables the following alarms (diagnoses are disabled):
FB SENSOR LOCKED,
POSITION ERROR,
TWIN POT MISMAT,
MOTOR LOCKED,
S.P OUT OF RANGE,
till a new DEBUG OUTPUT hand setting.

LEVEL 12:
SLOPE PEAK in the tester menu shifts from the max step
(discontinuity) on CPOC1 on the max step on CPOC2
(CNA#17).

LEVEL 13:
SLOPE PEAK in the tester menu shifts from the max step
(discontinuity) on CPOC1 to the max step of the encoder.

LEVEL 14:
Disables the same alarms (no diagnosis) of LEVEL 11. It
switches automatically to the default Level 15 recycling the
key.

LEVEL 15:
No special functions activated. Default value.
4) CAN
BUS
SPEED
Kbps, 20 kbps through 500 kbps. Default value is 125 kbps.
This adjustment defines the baud rate of the CAN bus communication.
5) 2ND SDO ID OFFS
Number, o through 127. Default value is 0.
Offset for an optional second index for the SDO frames. In case this adjustment
is set to 0 (default value), E-steering motor controller sends its SDO to its own
