Measurement Function and Measurement Range
Measurement Function
In voltage source mode, the GS200 measures (monitors) current. In current source
mode, the GS200 measures (monitors) voltage.

Measurement ON/OFF (See section 7.1 for the procedure)
Measurement OFF (Off)
Measurement is not performed. Select this mode if you only intend to use the GS200
source features.
Measurement ON (On)
Measurement is performed. The measured value is displayed in the upper-left section of
the screen.
Note
When you turn measurements on, noise may be superimposed on the source output depending
on the operation of the GS200 internal measurement circuit. To reduce noise in the source
output, turn measurements off.
Measurement Operation
Measurement operation refers to a sequence of measurements that is carried out as a
result of a measurement trigger. Measurement begins after a measurement trigger is
received and the specified measurement delay elapses. For information on triggers, see
section 2.6. For information on measurement delay, see the next page.
The overall process of the measurement operation is described in steps 1 to 3 below.
1. Measurement
The GS200 performs the target measurement. The time required for measurement is
the sum of the integration time and the software processing time.
2. Zero Reference Measurement
The GS200 performs the zero reference measurement. The time required for the zero
reference measurement is the sum of the integration time and the software processing
time.
3. NULL Computation (See the next page)
The GS200 subtracts the NULL reference value from the measured value and makes
the difference the result. If NULL computation is OFF, nothing is performed.
