Basic XNIC
Commands
The basic XNIC commands are as follows:
SHOW
displays the XNICs current information. Display
screens vary according to the specific SHOW parameter.
The syntax is:
s h o w
parameter
MONITOR
is the same as SHOW, except that the display
screen is updated every 10 seconds (every 1 second in
privileged mode). Press any key to exit the display. The
syntax is:
m o n i t o r
parameter
LIST
displays the XNICs NVRAM (non-volatile RAM)
parameter settings. Display screens vary according to the
specific LIST parameter. The syntax is:
l i s t
parameter
SET
temporarily changes a parameter to a given value.
The change is valid until you log out from the XNIC or
turn OFF the printer. The syntax is:
s e t
parameter value
DEFINE
permanently changes an NVRAM parameter to
a given value. You must reinitialize the XNIC for the
changes to take place. Use one of the following methods
to reinitialize the XNIC:
Use the Reset All, Reset Ethernet command (for
XNIC-ENET), or Reset Token Ring command (for
XNIC-TRING) on the printer control panel.
(DocuPrint 4517 printer only)
Power off the printer and then turn it back on.
Issue an
init delay 0
command remotely.
