Power OFF the printer and disconnect the power cord and any interface cables.

Loosen the thumb screws and pull out the
controller board.

Place the controller board on a ream of
paper.

Select an appropriate SIMM slot to use.
Slots SIMM2 (2) and SIMM3 (3) are
interchangeable (except as described in
the note on page C-4) and are used for
installing additional printer memory.

Insert the new SIMM at an angle into the
appropriate SIMM slot with the notch in
the lower left corner (1), and rotate it up
into position.
