Setting Description
Auto
Straighten If the page image is tilted, Pagis straightens it (up
to 10 degrees).
Auto Orient If the page image is improperly oriented (turned
90 degrees), Pagis orients it correctly.
Auto Crop If the actual image is surrounded by white space,
Pagis automatically crops (removes) the space.
Remove Dots If the page image has noise (unwanted spots),
Pagis removes them.
Remove
Lines If the page image has horizontal and vertical lines,
as on forms, Pagis removes them.
Remove
Shading If the image area is printed on a shaded (screened)
background, Pagis removes it.
Auto Image
Enhance Corrects and improves the page image, including
balancing colors and improving contrast and
brightness.
Make Text
Black Outputs colored text as black text in the binary
text layer.
Remove
Background
Tint If text and pictures are printed on a colored
(tinted) background, Pagis removes the tint.
Separate
Pictures from
Background If pictures were stored in the background layer,
Pagis moves them into separate picture
segments.
Remove
Bleed-
through If the reverse side of the scanned page shows
through, and is therefore scanned, this bleed-
through is detected and removed.
