2. Removal
CAUTION
Injury Hazard: The starting
air valve weighs 40 kg. Use
two persons or applicable
equipment to move the
starting air valve.
1) Engage the turning gear.
2) On the starting air bottles 930
− B001/2,
close the stop valves 930 − V03 and
930 − V04.
3) Open the ball valves 30 − 8605_E0_6
and 30 − 8605_E0_7 to release air in the
system.
4) Disconnect the electrical connections
from the pressure transmitter (6, Fig. 1 )
and the solenoid valves (1).
5) Remove the pipe (4).
6) Remove the pipe that is attached to the
ball valve 8353_E0_2.
7) Remove the pipe that is attached to the
2/2-way valve 35 − 4325_E0_5
8) Remove the four screws (2).
9) Remove the four screws (3).
10) Remove the shut-off valve from the
engine.
11) Do a check of the two gaskets that are installed on the pipe flanges. If the gaskets
are unserviceable, replace them.
