These labels are positioned next to any forward-facing
window that can be opened, in order to alert operators to
the potential hazards and consequences associated with
opening that window. In particular, you should be aware
of the risk of a break in the saw chain, which can cause
the chain to fly off the saw at extreme speed.

Carrier class
You must take care when selecting a carrier to fit the FL85
felling head; in particular, you should carefully consider the
hydraulic, and boom and arm, specifications, as well as the
weight. Ensure the carrier meets minimum specifications.

You can make improvements to a carrier to improve its
functional ability; this is particularly relevant when you
are considering different logging applications. Such
improvements can include fitting the carrier with:
•
Additional counterweight.
•
Additional capacity to the hydraulic pump.
•
Purpose-built booms and arms.
