FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

How do I make a backup of my patches?

Please go to Load > Actions > Export. There, you can select
and export your patches. Please note that the samples
attached to the patches will not be saved automatically.

My SD card is not recognized by the Quantum.

Please make sure the SD card is turned upside down and

inserted properly. Also, it should be FAT or FAT32-
formatted. There are no known incompatibilities with any
SD card.

Quantum doesn't recognize the update file, alt-
hough it definetly is located in the top directory
of the SD card.

Please allow a bit of time, sometimes Quantum needs up to

a minute after inserting the SD before it recognizes the
card and the update file. In rare cases, you may try two or
three times. Opening the zip file isn't enough, the quantum
update.bin file actually to be unpacked. Maybe your file got
corrupted during download, please try downloading it
again.

The difference between Latch and Chord Mode?

In Latch Mode, a key is engaged when pressed and sustai-
ned until you hit the same key again, then the note will be
released. In Chord Mode, only the last note/chord will be
held until you press the next key(s), then the previous
notes will be released and the new note/chord will be
sustained.

My device isn't recognized via USB.

•

Make sure that your device is connected to your com-
puter directly and not through a hub. Use the rear USB,
not front USB connection.

•

Disconnect all other USB devices from your computer
which aren't needed at the moment.

•

Change the USB cable or try from a different computer.

•

menu on the left and unfold it. Select

USB

. Check if

your device is listed there.

Windows: Press Win key + R. Enter

shows up as an "Unknown Device" and if there's a
black and yellow warning sign, deinstall the driver.
Then unplug the instrument, reboot your machine and
plug it back in.
