LFO Section
In addition to the main oscillators, Quantum is equipped
with six low frequency oscillators (LFOs) that can be used
for modulation purposes. Each LFO generates a periodic
waveform with adjustable frequency and shape.

The basic parameters of LFO1, LFO2, and LFO3 can
be edited via the Panel parameter controls, while
LFOs 4 to 6 are completely accessible via the LFO
display page.

Shape
Sets the type of waveform generated by the corresponding
LFO.
•
The
Sine
shape is best suited for oscillator FM or pan
modulations.
•
The
Triangle
shape is perfect for smooth pitch, filter
or volume modulations.
•
The
Square
shape can be interesting for hard pan
modulations or special effects.
•
The
Saw (down)
shape can generate interesting filter
or volume changes. It creates a falling sawtooth wave.
•
The
Saw (up)
shape can generate interesting filter or
volume changes. It creates a rising sawtooth wave.
•
S&H
(Sample & Hold) samples a random value and
holds it until the next value is generated. If
Speed
is
set to
0
, a random value is generated on each new note.
Speed
Determines the frequency of the corresponding LFO. At
low values it might take four minutes for the LFO to per-
