Starting the Genset Engine
Requirements
Pre-starting checks complete
Battery connected
Procedure
Perform the procedure below to start the genset engine.
1. Open the genset access door and move the circuit breaker

to the ON
position.
2. Open the burner access door and locate the genset control panel

3. Turn the key to the ON position “I”. The following will occur.
The battery charge lamp
(d)
will illuminate
The oil pressure warning lamp
(e)
will illuminate.
The engine temperature lamp
(f)
will illuminate if the engine is too hot. If this is
the case, turn off the engine and rectify the problem before continuing.
In cold conditions, the glow plug lamp
(g)
will illuminate. Wait until this lamp
goes off before continuing.
