alarm should sound to indicate the correct function. During the alarm
condition the indicator light will flash quickly.
Maintenance
If the smoke alarm emits a short ‘beep’ once a minute the battery is at the
end of its life and should be renewed immediately. This low voltage warning
will be given for at least 7 days. A fresh battery should last for about
approximately one year.
Test the alarm for correct operation using the test facility, whenever the
battery is replaced.
Clean your smoke alarm regularly to prevent dust build up. This can be done
using a vacuum cleaner with the brush attachment fitted. Clean gently
around the front grilled section and sides.
Important Safeguards
Test your smoke alarm weekly.
Replace battery immediately once depleted.
Do not smoke in bed.
Keep matches and lighters away from children.
Store flammable materials in a proper manner and never use them
near naked flames.
Do not mix old and new batteries.
Dispose of batteries safely.
Fire Extinguishers
A good quality fire extinguisher should be purchased and should be carried
inside your Caravan at all times. It should be fixed at an easy accessible
point, possibly adjacent to the entrance door.
