Remove the Spare Wheel.
If the clearance between the chassis frame and the ground is not sufficient,
then it will be necessary to jack up the caravan.
(See jacking instructions).
To replace spare wheel:
Place wheel on carrier so that a wheel stud hole locates over the screwed
stud, the other screwed stud should locate through the large hole in the
centre of the wheel. Locate and screw down the cone nut on the wheel
centre screwed stud. Only tighten the cone nut to the point where the spare
wheel sits securely on the carrier base.
Excessive tightening can lead to damage on the wheel.
Lift the carrier with the hooped ends and push back in the telescopic tubes
till almost at the chassis. Allow carrier to rest on ground.
Lift carrier with both hooped ends and locate in the two elongated holes in
the chassis with the screwed stud through the centre hole in the carrier
telescopic joining plate, push in till the carrier telescopic joining plate is flat
against the chassis.
Locate and screw on the stud the plastic star shaped handle, then when
tight locate the safety chain and fasten the hook through hole in end of
stud.
Important: If it becomes necessary to completely carrier from the chassis
remember that the washers and split pins are on the inside of the chassis as
well as on the outside.
