The system flashes the turn signal lights,

and sounds security horn and vehicle horn

if someone attempts to damage or break

into your vehicle.
The wireless remote control key is used

to set and cancel the system and to stop

the alarm. The instructions for the wire-

less remote control key are presented on

page 12.

SETTING THE SYSTEM

You can set the system with or without

the impact sensor function. For details,

see “CANCELING THE IMPACT SENSOR”

below.

1. Turn the ignition key to “LOCK” and

remove it.

2. Have all passengers get out of the

vehicle.

3. Push the lock switch once. At this

time, the turn signal lights flash once

and security indicator light comes on.

The system is set after 30 seconds. At

this time, the security indicator light starts

flashing slowly.
Once the system is set, you cannot start

the engine until you cancel the system.
The system will not be set in the following

cases.

When any of the doors is open
Security horn sounds for 1 second.

Close the door and set the system

again.

When the hood is open
Close the hood securely.
