Hard Disk Drive • Backup Battery
Removing the Hard Disk Drive • Backup Battery
To remove the hard disk drive and backup battery, follow the steps below and refer to Figures
4-9 through 4-12.
1.
Turn off the power to the computer, and, if attached, disconnect the AC adapter,
power cord and all external cables connected to the computer.
2.
Remove the battery pack, optional memory card, optional PCMCIA card, top
cover, and keyboard as described in Sections 4.2 through 4.6.
3.
Remove the
tape
next to the keyboard connector (PJ4).
4.
Remove the
five M2.5x6 screws
securing the
keyboard base plate
to the bottom
cover and lift off the plate (Figure 4-9).
