Turn the water off and remove the coupling from
the washout fitting.
Note:
If the mower is not clean after 1 washing,
soak it and let it stand for 30 minutes. Then
repeat the process.

Run the mower again for 1 to 3 minutes to
remove excess water.
WARNING
A broken or missing washout fitting
could expose you and others to thrown
objects or blade contact. Contact with a
blade or thrown debris can cause injury
or death.

Replace broken or missing washout
fitting immediately, before using
machine again.
•
Never put your hands or feet under
the mower or through openings in the
machine.
Disposing of Waste
Engine oil, batteries, hydraulic fluid, and engine
coolant are pollutants to the environment. Dispose of
these according to your state and local regulations.
Storage
Storage Safety
•
Shut off the engine, remove the key, and wait
for all moving parts to stop before you leave the
operator’s position. Allow the machine to cool
before adjusting, servicing, cleaning, or storing it.
•
Do not store the machine or fuel near flames or
drain the fuel indoors or inside an enclosed trailer.
•
Do not store the machine or fuel container where
there is an open flame, spark, or pilot light, such
as on a water heater or on other appliances.
Cleaning and Storage
1.
Disengage the blade-control switch (PTO), and
engage the parking brake.
2.
Shut off the engine, remove the key, and wait
for all moving parts to stop before leaving the
operating position.
3.
Remove grass clippings, dirt, and grime from the
external parts of the entire machine, especially
the engine and hydraulic system. Clean dirt and
chaff from the outside of the engine cylinder
head fins and blower housing.
Important:
You can wash the machine
with mild detergent and water. Do not
pressure-wash the machine. Avoid
excessive use of water, especially near the
control panel, engine, hydraulic pumps, and
motors.

If storing the machine with the battery installed,
disconnect the negative (black) cable from the
battery.
10.
Scrape any heavy buildup of grass and dirt
from the underside of the mower, then wash the
machine with a garden hose.
Note:
Run the machine with the blade-control
switch (PTO) engaged and the engine at high
idle for 2 to 5 minutes after washing.
