These default matrices have been selected and mapped for the five default

can be viewed and selected using

. If you have purchased the

option you can also amend
and change the individual default matrix settings and save them as new matrices.

codecs. It is
programmed to send the five balanced inputs to
CH2 Out
. In addition, the
return path,
Decoder 1
from the studio, is sent to
CH2 Out
as well. This is
useful in situations where you require an audio feed that includes a mix of
program and return audio from the studio. It was initially configured to
provide a PA feed for live broadcasts but it could also be used as a foldback
circuit in some broadcast situations.

You will also note that
CH1 Out
is only being sent codec
Inputs 1-5
.
Therefore this can be used as a mixed program output.
If you use this program matrix and you check the
CH 2 Output
box (of the
PA Controls
section) in the
Outputs
tab in
Tool
Box
, you will be able to use
the PA Controls section on the codec to control what is sent via analog
Output Ch 2
. For more information on using these codec functions see the
PA Controls section in this reference manual.
