account is open. Almost ALL of these tests can be performed without a Glider.

12.4 Glider/GLMPC Terminal Usage
Gliders connecting to the Dock Server via Iridium RUDICS appear the same as a Glider
connecting via Freewave or the
“traditional”
Iridium PSTN. There is full functionality in
all GMC applications:
(i)
Glider Terminal : Glider Perspective
(ii) Glider Terminal : Serial Port Perspective
(iii) GLMPC Terminal
(iv) Data Visualizer
The Iridium RUDICS Gliders appear to be connected on a
virtual
serial port:
net/<N>
where <N> will vary from 0 to one less than the number of virtual serial ports allocated.
The number of allocated
virtual
serial ports limits the number of Gliders that can be
simultaneously connected via Iridium RUDICS. There is NO PENALTY (other than
screen clutter) for allocating a huge number of
virtual
serial ports. See
