Checks and Adjustments

Adjusting the +5 VDC output

Turn off the printer.

Remove the top cover and the upper and lower rear covers as detailed
in the Section 8 procedure “The printer covers” on page 8-2.

Remove the engine control board cover which is held in place by two
screws (M3 x 7, panhead).

Connect the positive lead of the voltmeter to pin 1 of J11 (+5V).
Connect the negative lead to pin 4 of J11 (GND).

Close the top cover, plug in the printer’s power cord and turn on the
printer.

Measure the voltage displayed on the voltmeter. Adjust the
potenti5 V to 5 VDC.

After you make the adjustment, remove the voltmeter and turn off the
printer.

Reinstall the covers.
