Compress the spring pushing the feed roller to the right.
Caution
Watch for loose parts, such as springs and bearings, in the next
step; they fall out easily.

While compressing the spring, lift the feed roller up and out of the
printer, beginning with the left end of the roller. Be sure to slip the
feed roller out from under its drive belt on the left side of the printer.
Reverse these steps to reinstall the feed roller. The bearings at each end of the
roller must be fully seated for the ring stopper to fully extend and lock in the
extended position. The right-end bearing has a flat, keyed portion that must be
oriented in the 6 o’clock position in the printer frame.
Also, loosen the self-adjusting belt tensioner to slip the feed belt on the feed
roller’s drive gear. Forcing a tensioned belt can bend the roller shaft. Re-tighten
the belt tension after the belt is in place on the gear.
