Image processor board
Caution
Before removing the image processor board, inspect the bottom of
the printer. If the bottom pan is not flat, but rather “caved in” it
may have been bent during shipping or while being moved. Screws
in the bottom pan could then scratch and damage the image
processor board as it is being removed.
1.
Turn off the printer. Remove the power cord.
2.
Disconnect all host computer interface cables connected to the printer.
3.
Remove the two screws securing the image processor board in place.
Carefully, slide the image processor board out of the printer.
Reverse these steps to reinstall the processor board. If you are removing the
image processor board to replace with a new board, then you must transfer the
RAM SIMMs and the network card to the new board. You must also install all
the parameters stored in the NVRAM chip of the old board into the NVRAM
chip of the new board by repeating the appropriate installation procedures or
downloading the appropriate utility files.
