1 dB Power Penalty Method.
The 1 dB power penalty method uses the
BER to measure the amount of jitter that is equivalent to a 1 dB loss
of signal power at the optical input of a network element.
1. Connect the CTS850 to the network element as shown in
Figure 3–9.
