CTS850 SDH/PDH Test Set User Manual

Map/ Demap

For the CTS 850, this term refers to putting PDH signals into and
getting PDH signals out of a SDH signal.

Multiplex/ Demultiplex

Multiplex (MUX) – To transmit two or more signals over a single
channel. Demultiplex (DEMUX) – To separate two or more signals
previously combined by compatible multiplexing equipment.
