Setting Jitter or Wander Generation
To test the response of a network to jitter, you may need to generate
SDH signals, PDH signals, or clock signals that contain jitter. You
can use the CTS850 to generate any of these signals with a
controlled amount of jitter. This jitter is a sinusoidal modulation of
the line rate or clock rate; you can specify the frequency and
amplitude of the jitter.
Wander generation selection is identical to jitter generation except
that it applies for modulation frequencies of 10 Hz or less. See the
following figure.
