A.4 LOCAL FIRMWARE UPGRADE

This procedure permits the local upgrade of the control panel’s firmware, i.e. connecting the PC to the control panel
using the PROG USB interface and a serial cable.

Warning: Before proceeding, ensure that you have the file for upgrade at hand.
This file is included in the CD with the newest software version and, in addition, can be downloaded from the
web site www.tecnoalarm.com

Procede as follows:

z

Close the file of the control panel through
the Tecnoalarm software.

z

Insert the JP8 jumper
(view the opposite schema)

z

Insert the JP3 jumper

z

Remove the JP3 jumper and check if the
yellow and the green LED are blinking
(view the opposite schema)

z

Connect the PC to the control panel using
the PROG USB programming interface
and check if the red LED is blinking (view
the opposite schema)
