3. Use the
showdomainstatus
(8) command to check the power status of the
domain specified to be reset.
Note –
When the mode switch on the operator panel is set to "Service" or auto boot
is disabled by the
setdomainmode
(8) command, automatic boot of the Solaris OS
after the reset instruction is suppressed.
Note –
Since the
reset
(8) command forcibly resets the system, this command may
cause a failure in a hard disk drive or other components. Use this command only for
the purpose of recovery, such as if the Solaris OS hangs, and for other limited
purposes.

Sending a Break Signal to a Domain

Command operation
1. Use the
showdomainstatus
(8) command to confirm the domain status.
2. Use the
sendbreak
(8) command to send a Break signal to the specified domain.
