Create Login File
Create Login File allows the creation of login files which are used for login
with a USB memory stick.
Create a Login USB Stick
Important
!
Not all USB sticks are recognized by the system if plugged in before or during
start-up. The USB stick shipped with the console has been tested for start-up
recognition; it is recommended therefor that this stick is used for login.
If
two
login USB sticks are connected to the console, the last one ‘wins’.
A USB stick intended for user login must contain a file named
Login.ID
.
Normally this file is created by the system administrator; he must use the
Remote Config Tool to do so.
1
Start the Remote Config Tool and select the system as outlined in
chapter
5.17.4
. The configuration window opens.
2
Expand the
User
item in the configuration menu tree by a click on the
‘
+
’ button next to the item and click on
Users
.
3
Create a new user (name and password) and activate him by entering
On
in the
User Valid
field. The user name created in our example is
FLO
,
his password is
Ferro
.
Please remember that user names and passwords
are case-sensitive, both when creating and using them.
4
Save the new user by clicking the
Save User
button at the right edge
of the window.
The user must be created on every system that he will use.
5
Select
Tools
from the menu bar and select
Create Login File...
, as
shown below.
6
The
Login File
window pops up; select the new user from the
