External Dimming
External dimming function to connected CDUs is available by means of
pushbuttons or a dimming device.
External Dimming via Pushbuttons
If external
DIM+/DIM-
pushbuttons are installed, these operate in parallel
with the built in
DIM+/DIM-
keys of all connected CDUs.
Via external pushbuttons, the same functionality is available as with the
DIM+/DIM-
keys at the CDU.
External Dimming via Dimming Device
The NAVIKNOT 600 SD Electronics Unit also possesses an input for
serial data dimming commands from a connected central dimming
device.
Via a central dimming device, the external dimming functionality is
increased. Following additional functions are possible by means a cen-
tral dimming device:
• Simultaneous modification of brightness level of all CDUs.
• Setting of a predefined brightness value for the colour schemes day,
dusk and night for all CDUs.
• Simultaneous change of colour scheme for all CDUs.
