9-16 Updating the EU Software via SUSI
9. SUSI’s main window opens, with the “application” tab displaying a
list of supported devices:
10. Power up the NAVIKNOT 600 SD system now, while keeping button
K1 on the electronics unit PCB pressed.
This will prevent the device from entering normal operation and put
it in the software update mode.
In case of an USB connection, the FTDI driver will recognize a new
device and assign a virtual COM port to it.

The CDU will show
„WAITING FOR MAIN UNIT“
and the LEDs CR 6, 7 and 22 on
the NAVIKNOT electronics unit
PCB will flash in sequence, dur-
ing the update, as long as the
communication with the CDU is
interrupted.
11. Click the button at the
top left of the screen and in the
setup dialog which now pops
up, check the “Update Flash
Mode” option.
Then, select the COM port to
which the electronics unit is to
be connected.
The dialog will list all currently
available COM ports. If using an
USB connection, the electronics
unit must be under power for
the assigned port to show up in
the dialog.
