A18: ENCRSERVICE
The ENCRSERVICE keyword configures the way that XDP communicates with the
encryption engine. There are two methods supported: External and Internal.
•
External uses a server in a Pathway system.
•
Internal incorporates the encryption engine within the XDP library.
Note:
For code 100 applications, XDP only supports the External method.
Syntax for services that use Pathsend to perform encryption:
Syntax (External):
ENCRSERVICE <provider> <service-name> SERVER <pathway> <server>
<provider>
The value that appears next to the
ENCRAUTHPARAMS
keyword in the
DPCONF file.
<service-name>
A name to identify the service. Each configured encryption service must
have a unique name.
SERVER
A keyword that indicates this service uses Pathsend to perform
encryption.
<pathway>
The process name of the Pathmon that is sent to by the XDP library.
<server>
The server class name in the Pathway that is sent to by the XDP library.
Example (External):
ENCRSERVICE voltage vsrv1 SERVER $xdpp VOLTSRV
Syntax for services that do not use Pathsend to perform encryption:
Syntax (Internal):
ENCRSERVICE <provider> <service-name> INTERNAL
<provider>
The value that appears next to the
ENCRAUTHPARAMS
keyword in the

<service-name>

INTERNAL
