B11: DPGROUP
DPGroups are where you create the access rules you want to enforce in the DPACL
file.
XDP processes the DPACL file starting from the top. The DPGroup entries are
processed in the order in which they are encountered. You must always put the most
specific DPGroups before the least specific ones.
Once a DPGroup is selected, the individual ACL lines within that DPGroup are
processed in the order in which they are encountered. For example, if an individual
userid has access requirements different from the rest of his or her group, that
individual userid must be listed first.
In general, the rules you want at the top of the file are the rules that are accessed most
often.
Note:
The exclamation point (!) can be used to start a comment anywhere in a line; the
comment will continue for the remainder of the line. DPGroup entries can be
quite complex. XYPRO recommends that you document your work liberally so
that anyone administering XDP will understand what you have done.
There can be a maximum of 1,000 DPGroups in the DPACL file.
Syntax:
DPGROUP <group name>
Example:
DPGROUP BASE24
Note:
keyword (refer to Appendix B10:
above) that you can place immediately below the DPGROUP entity to describe
its purpose.
