It is very important that the 

interpose_user_library

 option is set to ON when 

building a native mode code 800 run-time library. This setting allows XDP to intercept  
the necessary Guardian I/O procedure calls in the application. 

Combining XDP with an application program using ELD requires the same basic steps, 
but the “r” option in the ELD obey file would be omitted. 

Table 2 below lists the Guardian procedures that XDP intercepts. Any application 
procedure with a name in the left column will conflict with the XDP-intercepted 
procedure.
