C19: XDP_MASS_ENCRYPT
Creates a TACL “IN” file to run the encryption program as follows:
•
Nowaited.
•
One instance of the program per partition.
•
Multiple instances space the CPU usage evenly across available CPUs.
•
ENCRYPTION will be performed.
Note:
The SOURCE file must be configured for ENCRYPT access in the DPACL file.
A user running an object to encrypt or decrypt columns in an SQL table may need
Read access to the object or they may get: ERROR from SQL [-2031]: Error
encountered during OPEN of the program file. Therefore, when a user executes the
TACL “IN” file produced by the XDP_MASS_ENCRYPT or XDP_MASS_DECRYPT
routines, they may also need Read access to the XDPENCR object in the XDP
installation.
When the TARGET file does not exist, the TACL “IN” file created will include
commands to create it like the SOURCE file without AUDIT, BUFFERED, or alternate
key files.
When the keyword PROMPT is included, the user will be prompted for partition
locations for creating the TARGET file.
Syntax:
XDP_MASS_ENCRYPT <source-file> <target-file> <TACL-in-file> [ PROMPT ]

XDP_MASS_ENCRYPT SOURCE TARGET INFILE

Run the command below to execute the TACL INFILE:
TACL/NAME,IN <tacl-input-file>/
Example 3:
$SYSTEM.XYGATEDP 7>

Note:
Remote partitions are not supported. An error message is returned when the
source table contains remote partition(s).
Example 4:
$SYSTEM.XYGATEDP 1>
xdp_mass_encrypt source target infile
Cannot continue because a partition contains a remote node:
