Backing up and Restoring AP Configuration Data
You can back up the AP configuration data and restore the configuration when required.
Viewing Current Configuration
To view the current configuration on the AP:
●
In the UI, navigate to Maintenance > Configuration > Current Configuration.
●
In the CLI, enter the following command at the command prompt:
(scalance)# show running-config
Backing up Configuration Data
To back up the AP configuration data:
1.
Navigate to the Maintenance > Configuration page.
2.
Click Backup Configuration.
3.
Click Continue to confirm the backup. The
instant.cfg
containing the AP configuration
data is saved in your local file system.
4.
To view the configuration that is backed up by the AP, enter the following command at
the command prompt:
(scalance)# show backup-config
Restoring Configuration
To restore configuration:
1.
Navigate to the Maintenance > Configuration page.
2.
Click Restore Configuration.
3.
Click Browse to browse your local system and select the configuration file.
4.
Click Restore Now.
5.
Click Restore Configuration to confirm restoration. The configuration is restored and the
AP reboots to load the new configuration.
