Configuring the DMZ host 

A DMZ host is only required if access from the Internet is required irre-
spective of the service/port used.

Configuring a DMZ

1. First activate the status of the DMZ function by clicking 

Enabled

.

2. Enter the IP address of the DMZ host in the LAN to which unknown 

data/requests are to be forwarded in the 

IP Address

 fields.

3. Click 

Apply

 to apply your changes.

The activation of a DMZ host can give rise to a potential gap in the 
firewall security of your HiPath BizIP. You should only activate this 
function if you are experienced in setting up firewalls.
