Administration scenarios

108

Recording of calls (on / off)

If recording is switched off for a mailbox, the answer machine can once 
again pick up the call at the end of the auto answer time. The selected 
greeting is played back, followed by a message indicating that message re-
cording is not possible.

Time until auto answer 

You can set an auto answer time of between 0 and 59 seconds. During this 
time the telephone rings and the mailbox for the station is then activated.

The time set should be greater than 3 seconds. In the case of times that 
lie below this limit, the mailbox may pick up calls immediately without a 
call being signaled.

Message length 

The maximum length of a message can be restricted on the basis of the 
maximum recording duration of 10 minutes. A time of between 1 and 5 
minutes can be set here. A length of 2 minutes is set by default. 

Redirection to intercept position

If the user presses the 

e

 key during the greeting or message recording, 

the mailbox attempts to call the intercept position.

The intercept position is either the first telephone in the HiPath BizIP or has 
been set up with
