6.7 Fieldbus systems connection examples
6.7.1 PROFIBUS
Via terminals
The following illustration shows the PROFIBUS connection via terminals:
• If MOVIFIT
®
is located at the end of a PROFIBUS segment, it can only be connected
to the PROFIBUS mains by the incoming PROFIBUS cable.
• To prevent malfunctions in the bus system due to reflections, etc., the PROFIBUS
segment must be terminated at the first and last physical stations with bus termi-
nating resistors.
• The bus terminating resistors are already installed in the MOVIFIT
®
ABOX and they
can be activated using the S1 switch.
NOTES
The example is valid for the following connection box:
• ABOX with terminals and cable glands "MTA...-S02.-...-00"
