Safety Rules For Workers Assigned To The Pump
16.1
You must know how to stop the pump and boom. Have the
operator show you the locations of the emergency stop switches (Figure 74).
16.2
You should wear the same personal protective equipment
(P.P.E. or just PPE) as the operator. Goggles, hard hat, ear protection, and rub-
ber gloves are especially important when working near the hopper (Figure 75).

Stop agitator before
putting any solid
object in hopper.
