Possible boom damage and tipping hazard! Never exceed the
manufacturer’s rated weight limit for the placing boom! If continuation pipes are
connected to the end hose, they must
NOT
impose any additional load on the
boom (Figure 20).
6.15
The length of the boom end hose is not as critical as the weight
of the hose when filled with concrete. Review the weight restriction label on the
boom of CPMA-compliant units or check with the manufacturer. Never exceed
the recommended weight or structural damage could occur.
6.16
Possible structural damage. If you remove the supplied tip hose
and replace it with a combination of reducers and hoses, the total weight of all
hanging pieces (including the weight of the concrete) must not exceed the weight
of the supplied tip hose (including concrete). As an example, a 12-foot long,
