Introduction
SPB Operation Manual
Expected Service Life
When used properly, the separate placing boom will
have a serivce life of up to 15 years.
Below are the recommended operating conditions for
seperate placing booms:
• Maximum 8 hours of operation per job.
•
Maximum ambient temperature of 86˚ F
• Maximum installation of 2600 ft above sea level
• Maximum relative humidity of 75%
• Hydraulic pressure 60% of P
max
• Maximum hydraulic pump setting of 280 horse-
power
•
Maximum temperature of 60˚ F for fresh con
-
crete
• Maximum concrete throughput of 40,000 cubic
yards per year.
• Maximum of 1000 jobs per year
Final Decommissioning
When the separate placing boom has reached the end
of it’s service life, it needs to be decommissioned and
disposed of in compliance with regional regulations.
Steel can be cut-up and recycled. Oils, greases, plas-
tics, electrical components, rechargeable batteries, etc,
need to be disposed of in a proper manner.
