7.1 Music-on-Hold/ Background Music (Figure 7-1)
The DCS-816 system provides one music channel which is from the built-in melody chip (internal)
or an external music source (CD player, radio etc). Section 2.7 describes how to select the
source. For the external music interface, the system requires MDF connection and the connection
can be made through the champ connector. See Figure 2-3 and refer to section 2.5 (MDF
Cabling).
Use one pair twisted wires and connect a CD player or radio to the external music interface via the
champ connector on the base board.
